Naomi Brooker, Founder & Director

I’ve worked as a communications consultant for a little over a decade, helping brands get their news on the pages of major newspapers, magazines and blogs, and tell their story via online influencers, and social and digital media. I’ve been lucky enough to work across a range of industries, with clients large and small. This has included major brands like ALDI, ANZ, Facebook and McWilliam’s Wines, boutique consultancies including Bendelta and PUSH Collective, and budding startups such as Asha Yoga.

After spending seven years at global communications firms, I started consulting independently. During this time, I spoke to multiple startups and small businesses who were looking for help to build their business - what I consistently found was that new business owners were willing to do their own communications if it meant cutting down on costs, but they just didn’t know where to start. Plus, they felt a little overwhelmed at the thought of identifying and engaging with journalists, online influencers and stakeholders. I knew there was a better way to help startups make their mark - SUADA was the result.

Chanel Gallen, Head of Content

I’ve worked as a content strategist and editor for eight years, and I am the co-founder of a successful boutique catering business. My experience has ranged from working with big-name clients throughout Asia Pacific including Spotify, Facebook and IBM, and now helping small businesses tell their story via social and digital media. Running a small business for eight years means that I also deeply understand the challenges (and opportunities!) that come with promoting your passion and making sure it succeeds. In a past life i worked as a field reporter for NBN News and Capital Radio Network and a freelance travel writer with Australian Traveller and International Traveller magazines.

Joining the SUADA team was a no brainer. I have seen the power of a great content strategy and clever online storytelling, and am passionate about helping other small businesses succeed.
